CONSULTATION FLOW
Here is how the process works — from your initial inquiry to the first consultation and beyond.
Please provide a brief overview of your matter. We will ask about your availability and schedule an initial consultation.
Meet with us via Zoom or other online tools, or visit our office in Saga City. We will listen to your situation and concerns, and identify the key legal issues. A typical session lasts approximately one hour.
We will deliver a Word document summarizing the consultation, including applicable legal grounds. The minutes cover key issues identified, our preliminary analysis, and recommended next steps. At the same time, we will provide an estimate for further support.
If the matter is resolved during the initial consultation, you simply pay the consultation fee. If further assistance is needed, we will present an estimate, and you may engage us on an individual matter or through a retainer agreement.
From the very first consultation, we provide written meeting minutes.

Companies considering a retainer agreement: The first hour of your initial consultation is complimentary.
Individuals with automobile insurance attorney fee coverage: Consultations and representation may be covered at no cost to you under your policy. Please contact us by phone, email, or our online form.
PRICING
We prioritize transparency and provide estimates upfront.
All fees on this page are for English-language legal services, which include bilingual attorney communication, English document preparation, and cross-cultural legal support. These rates are higher than our standard Japanese-language fees to reflect the additional expertise and time required.
Hourly rate for all English-language services: USD 275 / hour (tax included) (consultations, time-charge work, and all billable activities). Alternatively, the equivalent amount in Japanese yen at the prevailing exchange rate may be applied. All prices shown include tax.

A flat monthly fee covers legal consultations, meeting minutes, contract review, draft notices, and more as a package. No additional charges are incurred for each consultation.
* We will recommend the most suitable plan based on the size and needs of your company.
Spot engagements for contract review and revision are billed at USD 275/hour (tax included) on a time-charge basis. Rates may vary depending on the complexity of the matter.
For contract drafting, we can also provide an upfront estimate upon request.

Fees are based on our internal fee schedule (generally in line with the former Japan Federation of Bar Associations fee guidelines), and we provide an estimate tailored to each case.
For litigation, mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution matters, we consider the complexity of the case, estimated workload, and other factors in preparing our proposal.
Engagement as an investigator for harassment committees, third-party panels, and similar bodies is quoted on a case-by-case basis.
When billed on a time-charge basis, the rate is USD 275/hour (tax included), with individual proposals tailored to each case.

This service provides external support for your legal department functions. In addition to all retainer services, it includes development of internal policies, compliance training, and regular legal reports.
